Job summary

The City of Tucson is seeking a Planner I to assist with land use planning and historic preservation projects. You will review development proposals for compliance with zoning codes, standards, and policies, and interact with the public to provide guidance and information.

Work under supervision and support planning initiatives, with opportunities to coordinate with boards and apply regulatory review processes in a dynamic city environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One (1) year of relevant experience required.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Review development projects for zoning conformance and regulations.
• Provide zoning, land use, permitting, historic preservation information to the public and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with City staff and boards on proposals and public meetings.
