The City of Dallas is seeking a Planner I to support Planning and Development, Historic Preservation. You will assist with design review, certificates of appropriateness, and research for historic designations while helping front-end web content and social media updates.

Under guidance from the Chief Planner, you will collect data, prepare reports, and coordinate with citizens and other departments to ensure timely, compliant planning processes for urban development projects.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or higher in Planning, Urban Studies/Design, Architecture, Public Administration, Geography, Engineering, or related field (e.g., Historic Preservation).
• Strong ability to research, analyze data, and prepare reports.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as main contact for visitors to the planning office and explain policies.
• Compile and analyze data for planning purposes and coordinate with other departments.
• Prepare documents and edit reports and presentations for staff and public meetings.
• Process approvals for applications and intake forms.
• Engage with citizens and business groups to identify problems and opportunities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
