Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning, urban studies/design, architecture, public administration, sociology, geography, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of two years of professional planning/urban design experience.
• Equivalent combinations of education and experience may meet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare long-range land use and neighborhood development studies.
• Analyze zoning applications for compliance with ordinances and impacts.
• Draft and present recommendations to City Plan Commission and others.
• Engage with communities at meetings to gather feedback on land use and neighborhoods.
• Respond to inquiries from citizens, committees, and city officials.
• Coordinate boundary adjustments and annexation materials with other jurisdictions.
• Administer and monitor planning programs and provide professional direction.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
