Job summary

The Junior Planner at Daniels Manufacturing Corporation in Orlando, FL will support production schedules, track work orders, and help ensure on-time delivery. You’ll coordinate across Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and Customer Service to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth operations.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and are eager to learn Lean practices. On-site role with gear to grow in a family-oriented team focused on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or Manufacturing preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
• Experience in manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review job packets to verify accuracy of system transactions and production records.
• Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to the Production Planning Manager.
• Support in-production quantity adjustments and documentation retrieval.
• Back up planners to ensure continuity of production planning.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Leads and Supervisors to resolve transactions.
• Monitor outside processing requirements with Purchasing to ensure on-time schedules.

The Junior Planner will play a key role in supporting production schedules, improving workflow efficiency, and helping ensure on-time delivery. By coordinating across departments, tracking production activities, and resolving discrepancies, this position helps keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities

Production Planning & Support

• Review completed job packets to verify the accuracy of system transactions, production records, and supporting documentation
• Identify discrepancies and elevate issues to the Production Planning Manager for resolution
• Support production personnel with job quantity adjustments, documentation retrieval, and transaction-related inquiries
• Serve as a backup for Planners as needed to ensure continuity of production planning activities
• Assist in resolving job transaction discrepancies in partnership with Manufacturing Leads, Supervisors, and Managers

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with Purchasing to monitor outside processing requirements and ensure timely return of components to support production schedules
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to log, review, and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Service to create, monitor, and close Repair Orders
• Support Manufacturing Managers and Engineering Managers with operational and administrative projects as required

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Assist Senior Planners with maintaining production reports and metrics
• Analyze information to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improved workflow efficiency
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement by participating in and supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives
• Recommend process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational performance

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations experience is preferred
• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $26 – $37 per hour
