Junior Planner – Blue Ash, OH
Execute daily production plans established by Master Scheduler or Planner. Monitor work‑center capacities daily and 1 week out to determine the result of late, expedited or rescheduled work orders and communicate these activities to impacted areas. Act as liaison between Planner and Team Leads to ensure schedule adherence for on‑time order completion.
What you will be doing
- Executes daily plans provided by master scheduling and planning.
- Daily issuance of orders to the Fabrication area; work with Area Team Leaders to ensure area can complete daily orders and must balance or make line adjustments as required.
- Compile and transfer all required information and programs to the Fab area using line‑specific tools and applications.
- Monitor schedules using established scheduling tools (e.g., Door Dashboard, Production Information Board) to assure work‑centers are on time and update system with accurate information; notify area managers or supervisors of late work‑centers.
- Perform daily WIP audits to evaluate product movement and ensure product flow through the value stream.
- Report on schedule compliance and status of all work orders daily, highlighting potential problems based on current visibility, equipment downtime or other manufacturing factors.
- Assure computer data integrity; report findings or concerns for immediate resolution.
- Evaluate steel requirements and make changes based on available steel.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you need to succeed
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of NC programming.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn new skills and take on increasing levels of responsibility.
