Job summary

Intertek Caleb Brett is seeking an entry-level Petroleum Inspector to join our team in Catlettsburg, KY. The role involves volume and temperature measurements, sampling, and custody transfer surveys to ensure accurate quantity and quality reporting.

This position requires extensive travel and adherence to safety procedures within a global quality assurance framework. Ideal candidates will have basic math skills, a valid driver’s license, and be prepared to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Must have basic grasp of mathematics and work in an automated environment.
• Ability to work on an on-call basis; willing to travel up to 75%.
• Must have or obtain Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).
• Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record required.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform volume and temperature measurements and sampling of petroleum products.
• Conduct visual inspections of lines, tanks, and vessels.
• Complete custody transfer surveys and properly document results.
• Calibrate, verify, and maintain measurement equipment.
• Coordinate with terminal and transport teams to ensure timely reporting.
