Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to begin a grooming career with hands-on training in bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning and more. You’ll work under experienced groomers and gain competencies in a supportive environment focused on animal welfare and customer care.

Qualifications

Excellent customer service and communication skills are required.
Comfort interacting with pet parents and handling pets.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

Under supervision, perform limited grooming services including bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning according to instructions.
Ensure the safety and well-being of every animal in the salon at all times.
Interact professionally with pet parents and provide optimal customer service.
Maintain a clean and safe grooming area, sanitize tools, and assist with cleaning tasks.
Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
Learn and follow Petco grooming policies and standards.
