Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to learn and perform essential grooming tasks within our grooming salon.

You will start with foundational training in bathing, drying, grooming, and patient handling under seasoned mentors, advancing as you gain confidence and skill through weeks 1–10. Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal related experience or volunteer work preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices.
• Able to handle pets of all sizes with care and empathy.
• Effective verbal and written communication with pet parents and team.
• Weekend, evenings, and holiday availability as required.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning) per pet parents' instructions.
• Ensure the well-being and safety of every animal in the salon at all times.
• Provide professional customer service and address grooming-related inquiries.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools/equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain grooming records.
• Learn and adhere to Petco grooming policies and standards.
