Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to start a grooming career within our in-store grooming program. You will begin with a ten-week training period learning bathing, drying, and basic grooming tasks under seasoned groomers.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Genuine passion for animals and a career in grooming
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and grooming practices
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Under close supervision, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning) according to owner instructions.
• Ensure animal well-being and safety in the salon at all times.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide excellent customer service.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary grooming area and sanitize tools and equipment.
• Schedule grooming appointments, manage paperwork, and keep grooming records.
• Learn and follow Petco grooming policies, standards, and guidelines.
