Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist to learn and perform grooming tasks in our grooming salon. You will gain hands-on experience under seasoned groomers, focusing on bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, and gland care while prioritizing pet comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year of animal-related experience is preferred
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Basic understanding of dog breeds, behavior, and grooming practices
• Available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as required by the grooming schedule

Responsibilities

• Under supervision of experienced groomers, perform limited grooming services (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning, gland cleaning)
• Ensure animal safety and wellbeing at all times in the salon
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide customer service
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment
• Schedule grooming appointments and maintain records
• Follow Petco grooming policies and standards
