Job summary

Petco is seeking a Junior Pet Stylist in Grooming to learn bathing, drying, brushing, nail trimming, and other grooming tasks. You will work under experienced groomers and gain hands-on skills while prioritizing pet safety and comfort. The role includes weekend/holiday availability and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year animal-related experience or volunteer work preferred.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Genuine passion for animals and grooming as a career.
• Basic understanding of dog breeds and grooming practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited grooming services under supervision (bathing, drying, nail trimming, brushing, ear cleaning).
• Ensure safety and well-being of all animals in the salon.
• Provide excellent customer service and answer grooming questions.
• Maintain clean, sanitized grooming area and tools per policy.
• Schedule appointments and maintain records.
