Job summary

Orion Placement seeks a newly licensed California attorney for a personal injury associate in Sacramento. The role starts with in‑office training and direct mentorship, with hybrid flexibility after training. You will manage pre‑litigation matters, interview clients, and help move cases toward settlements.

Must hold an active California Bar license; early‑career attorneys are welcome. Strong research, writing, and communication skills are essential, and Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license required.
• Newly licensed and early‑career attorneys welcome.
• Strong research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Confident, personable and empathetic when working with clients.
• Organised, detail‑oriented, proactive and fast‑paced environment.
• Personal injury or plaintiff‑side experience preferred but not required.
• Spanish bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage pre‑litigation personal injury matters and move cases forward.
• Communicate with clients and guide them through the claims process.
• Evaluate liability, damages and case strategy.
• Review medical records, demand packages, and documentation.
• Negotiate with insurance carriers for favorable settlements.
• Partner with case managers to keep cases progressing.
• Speak with prospective clients and evaluate new matters.
• Develop skills in legal analysis, negotiation, client counselling and settlement strategy.
