Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking an attorney to lead personal injury litigation from filing through trial in Culver City, CA. You will work with seasoned trial attorneys who invest in your development and provide ongoing litigation training and mentorship.

You will gain courtroom exposure through depositions, mediations, motion practice, arbitrations, and jury trials while earning commission opportunities and monthly settlement-based bonuses. The role offers comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California State Bar membership is required.
• 1+ year of personal injury or employment law experience.
• Plaintiff- or defense-side experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury litigation from inception through settlement or trial.
• Develop case strategy and independently manage discovery, motions, and trial prep.
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurers.
• Maintain frequent, professional communication with clients through the litigation process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases toward resolution.
• Participate as first or second chair in arbitrations and jury trials as experience develops.
