Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active California State Bar membership.
• 1+ year of personal injury law or employment law experience.
• Plaintiff or defense experience accepted.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong client communication and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury litigation from inception to settlement or trial.
• Develop case strategy and independently handle discovery, motion practice, and trial prep.
• Take and defend depositions, and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and settlement agreements.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurers.
• Maintain frequent professional communication with clients.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases toward resolution.
• Participate as first or second chair in arbitrations and jury trials.
• Handle auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, elder abuse, sexual abuse, and other injury claims.
