Orionplacement seeks an associate attorney to manage personal injury litigation from inception to resolution or trial, with mentorship from experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative Southern California practice.

Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, active CA Bar, and 1+ year PI or employment law experience. Plaintiff or defense background is welcome. Full-time on-site role in Corona, CA with robust benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school is required.
• Active California Bar membership is required.
• 1+ year of personal injury or employment law experience is required.
• Plaintiff or defense experience accepted.
• Strong research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage cases, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong client communication and professional judgment.

Responsibilities

• Manage personal injury litigation matters from inception through settlement or trial.
• Develop case strategy and independently manage discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Take and defend depositions and represent clients at mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, settlement agreements, and other persuasive legal documents.
• Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance representatives.
• Maintain frequent, professional communication with clients throughout the litigation process.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases efficiently toward successful resolution.
• Participate as first or second chair in arbitrations and jury trials as experience develops.
• Handle matters involving auto accidents, premises liability, medical malpractice, elder abuse, sexual abuse, and other serious injury claims.
