Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, HR, Commerce, or related field preferred.
• Candidates with an Associate degree plus relevant payroll, accounting, HR, or finance experience may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with weekly, biweekly, or monthly payroll processing for employees while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Review employee timesheets, attendance, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and payroll adjustments before processing.
• Perform payroll data validation and reconciliation to identify missing, duplicate, or incorrect transactions.
• Maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, direct deposits, and tax-related updates.
• Use Microsoft Excel functions such as PivotTables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, and basic formulas to analyze and reconcile payroll data.
• Support payroll processing using systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM.
• Assist with reviewing payroll taxes, benefits deductions, garnishments, and other employee deductions.
• Support month-end and year-end payroll reconciliation and preparation of payroll reports.
• Maintain payroll records and supporting documentation according to company policies and data confidentiality requirements.
• Prepare recurring reports related to payroll expenses, headcount, overtime, deductions, and employee compensation.
• Follow established payroll procedures, internal controls, and applicable federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
