Job summary

BCG Attorney Search is seeking a Junior/Mid-Level Patent Agent to join its Patent Development & Strategy practice in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have a background in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and be registered with the USPTO.

Duties include drafting and prosecuting patent applications, collaborating with inventors and attorneys to develop strategies, conducting prior art and patentability analyses, and supporting IP due diligence and portfolio management.

Qualifications

• 2+ years patent prosecution experience.
• Experience drafting and prosecuting US and international patent applications.
• Experience preparing responses to Office Actions and conducting patentability analyses.
• Prior experience in a law firm or in-house IP environment preferred.
• Experience with due diligence, opinions, and related patent counseling work is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute patent applications in technology-related fields.
• Collaborate with inventors and attorneys to develop patent strategies.
• Conduct prior art, patentability, and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Support IP due diligence and portfolio management.
