You will help identify patches, coordinate testing, and deploy updates to reduce vulnerabilities and meet organizational policies.

The role collaborates with cybersecurity staff, monitors status through dashboards, and escalates issues impacting mission-critical systems. A security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 0–3 years of related experience in systems administration, IT support, or cybersecurity.
• Understanding of basic patch management concepts and familiarity with common tools (WSUS, SCCM).
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Current secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Apply patch management principles to identify, test, and deploy OS/app updates across enterprise endpoints.
• Coordinate routine and emergency patch cycles with testing, approvals, and maintenance windows.
• Monitor vulnerability and patch compliance reports, interpret risk levels, and remediate non-compliant systems.
• Use basic network and systems concepts to plan and troubleshoot patch deployments.
• Assist with automated patch workflows, including scheduling and documenting results for audits.
• Maintain documentation for patch baselines, deployment procedures, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and vulnerability management staff to align patching with threats and policies.
