Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking an entry-level Paralegal to support United States Attorneys with litigation and administrative tasks in a dynamic government-focused environment.

Under supervision, you will draft and file legal documents, prepare trial materials, manage case files, and coordinate with AUSAs. A paralegal certificate or JD is preferred, with basic ESI knowledge and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, with at least one year of study.
• One year of legal training or legal experience, or at least two years of college education may substitute for the paralegal certificate.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience; trial experience is helpful.
• Basic familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery processes.
• Excellent written and oral communication, and proficiency with standard office software and databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide litigation and administrative support to United States Attorneys' group.
• Assist in trial preparation, including compiling notebooks and drafting lists.
• Open, organize, and manage case files and calendars for assigned AUSAs.
• Prepare and file legal documents using ECF and standard templates.
• Support travel logistics in accordance with DOJ policies and Federal Travel Regulations.
