Job summary

Ferrero is seeking a Junior Packaging Technologist at our Bloomington, Indiana site. In collaboration with QA and Production, you will ensure procedures align with specs, monitor development of processes, and safeguard finished goods quality while driving cost-efficient improvements.

You will lead tests, maintain specs and SOPs, support start-ups, and train production personnel on process controls. A Bachelor's degree in biology with 1-3 years experience is expected, and knowledge of

Qualifications

Knowledge of organoleptic testing and sensory evaluation.
Ferrero product/process knowledge and techno-functional understanding.
Knowledge of industrial equipment, production processes and SOPs.

Responsibilities

Partner with Production and Quality to ensure products meet specifications, quality standards, and food safety requirements through effective process monitoring, testing, and continuous improvement.
Serve as the site technical expert on product characteristics, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting, coordinating with corporate Quality and Technical teams.
Monitor and analyze critical process parameters and quality results to ensure process consistency and finished product compliance.
Maintain and communicate product specifications, formulas, SOPs, and production line settings; support procedure development and training.
Lead and support product, process, equipment, and production line start-ups, including data collection and analysis.
Conduct product evaluations, laboratory testing, sampling, and sensory assessments; identify corrective actions.
