Job summary

Ferrero in Bloomington, IL is seeking a Junior Packaging Technologist to support collaboration with Quality Assurance and Production. You will apply procedures, monitor development of the process, safeguard finished goods, and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency.

You will perform standardized tests, analyze results, and help train production staff on process controls and product requirements, while promoting food safety and continuous improvement in packaging operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of organoleptic testing and sensory evaluation.
• Familiar with product technology, manufacturing processes, and SOPs.
• Understanding of health & safety, quality standards and work instructions.
• Bachelor’s degree in biology with 1–3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Production and Quality to ensure products meet specs and quality standards.
• Serve as site technical expert on product characteristics, processes, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor critical parameters and product data to ensure process consistency and compliance.
• Maintain product specifications, formulas, SOPs, and production settings; support training.
• Lead start-ups, testing, data collection and process optimization.
