Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer to scope, layout, install, and commission packaging equipment lines for food and beverage clients. You will work with process, controls, and building system engineers to define project requirements and estimate costs, while supporting start-up and commissioning activities.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, 0-3 years of relevant experience, strong AutoCAD/MS Office skills, and the ability to travel 50%+ of the year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, packaging, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• 0-3 years of packaging equipment design experience or schooling.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Willingness to travel 50%+ year.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, estimates, and specifications for packaging lines.
• Interpreting mechanical design requirements to satisfy packaging system specs.
• Specification, purchase, installation and commissioning of packaging equipment.
• On-site construction project coordination and management.
• Machine and process design and testing preparation.
• Create packaging flow diagrams and material balances.
• Assist with equipment bid packages and layouts.
• Develop design basis documents and scopes of work.
