Job summary

Dennis Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer to design, install, and commission packaging lines for food and beverage clients. You will collaborate with process, controls, and building system engineers to define equipment requirements and layouts, and provide onsite support during start-up.

The role fits 0–3 years of related schooling or experience, requires AutoCAD and MS Office proficiency, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, packaging, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• 0-3 years of work experience or schooling in packaging equipment scope and commissioning.
• Experience with professional services or food & beverage firms is a plus.
• Proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, and familiarity with AutoCAD.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts, estimates and functional specifications for packaging lines.
• Interpret mechanical design requirements and customer specifications for packaging systems.
• Specification, purchase, installation and commissioning of packaging equipment.
• On-site construction project coordination and management.
• Machine and process design.
• Prepare machine testing requirements and procedures.
• Prepare equipment/purchasing documentation and packaging/layout plans.
• Survey existing conditions and create packaging flow diagrams.
