Job summary

Shermco Industries is seeking a New Grad P&C Field Engineer to join our team in Tallmadge, OH. You will provide on-site electrical system support across 480V to 600kV, perform transformer and relay tests, and ensure safe, reliable operation of critical equipment.

The role emphasizes hands-on testing, maintenance, and client interaction with potential overnight travel. Ideal candidates hold EPC-related training, have basic PC skills, and are prepared for OSHA/MSHA/NFPA 70-E or CPR/First Aid

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in EPC or related field from a 2-year technical college.
• Experience in switchgear testing and troubleshooting is preferred.
• Proficient PC skills: email, internet, data entry, Excel.
• OSHA 30/MSHA/NFPA 70-E/CPR-First Aid training preferred; training provided by Shermco.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site electrical system support for voltages from 480V to 600kV.
• Perform transformer and relay tests and routine maintenance.
• Diagnose and resolve issues with switchgear, circuit breakers, and relays.
• Maintain professional client relationships and respond to emergencies.
• Document service activities, reports, and modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on improvement projects.
