Qualifications

• Background in nuclear engineering, radiation transport theory, or physics.
• Ability to work in a team and develop test plans tied to standards.
• Must be able to obtain a favorable background investigation and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform test and evaluation of radiation detectors with radiation sources.
• Model transport and deposition of gamma, neutron, alpha, beta radiation and EM signals.
• Contribute to test planning and written/oral project reports.
• Conduct technical analyses using radiation transport codes and data analysis.
• Work with engineers and scientists to answer technical questions.
• Guide User Assessments by government personnel using detectors.
• Perform other engineering duties as needed.
