Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nuclear or mechanical engineering, physics, material science, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience with radiation shielding analysis and design.
• Proficiency with MCNP/ADVANTG, SCALE/MAVRIC, or similar Monte Carlo tools.
• Ability to navigate regulatory requirements and shielding design features.

Responsibilities

• Own radiation shielding design and analysis.
• Develop trade studies of materials choices for shielding.
• Run neutronics simulations to characterize sources during operation and post-operation configurations.
• Optimize shielding for deployment and post-operation transport.
• Engage in regulatory compliance strategies and licensing pathways.
• Ensure tools and analyses conform to Antares QA program.
