Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a network engineer to design, implement, manage, and optimize DHMS program network infrastructure, ensuring reliability, performance, and security across IT environments.

You will collaborate with IT teams to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies. Preference is given to CCNA/CCNP certified candidates with experience in Cisco/Juniper gear and Wireshark.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in network administration.
• Strong understanding of network principles and prior experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
• Advanced diagnostic, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and optimize network infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security
• Work with IT teams and stakeholders to develop network policies
• Troubleshoot network issues and ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies and best practices
• Configure and troubleshoot network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) using tools such as Wireshark
• Conduct network assessments and develop automated configurations
• Develop and maintain network documentation
• Perform system testing and analysis
• Perform backup and recovery functions on network infrastructure
• Configure routers and switches to industry standards
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory network accounts
