Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Network Engineer to design, implement, and optimize a secure DHMS network architecture across reliability-focused environments.

You will work with IT teams to develop policies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with DHMS IT standards while configuring Cisco/Juniper gear and using Wireshark for diagnostics. Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in network administration
• Strong understanding of network principles and prior experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper)
• Advanced diagnostic, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills; able to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, manage, and optimize network infrastructure for reliability, performance, and security
• Work with IT teams and stakeholders to develop network policies
• Troubleshoot network issues and ensure compliance with DHMS IT policies and best practices
• Configure and troubleshoot network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) using tools such as Wireshark
• Conduct network assessments and develop automated configurations
• Develop and maintain network documentation
• Perform system testing and analysis
• Perform backup and recovery functions on network infrastructure
• Configure routers and switches to industry standards
• Administer Microsoft Active Directory network accounts
