Job summary

The University of Georgia is seeking a Network Administrator Associate for the EITS-Network Engineering group in Athens. You will participate in managing core, wireless, and data center networks, supporting IP/DHCP/DNS services and coordinating with vendors to ensure reliable network performance.

The role requires 5 years of related experience and hands-on knowledge of routing, switching, and monitoring tools. Typical hours are 8am–5pm, with potential after-hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 5 years of related experience (minimum).
• Experience configuring networking equipment (switches/routers) and monitoring tools is essential.
• Proficiency with DHCP, DNS, IPAM and documentation is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage enterprise core, wireless, and data center networks.
• Support LAN, WAN, wireless, and related network services.
• Document network configurations, inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Coordinate with vendors to deploy and maintain services.
• Support IP space management and network fault resolution in a 24x7 environment.
