Job summary

Seneca Resources Company, LLC is seeking a Junior .NET Developer (C# / ASP.NET) to join our government client’s technology team in Long Island City, NY. This onsite role offers hands-on experience building modern .NET applications and contributing to large-scale modernization initiatives.

You'll work with senior developers through the full software development lifecycle, gaining exposure to requirements, design, testing, deployment, and documentation while sharpening skills in C#, ASP.NET, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with object-oriented programming and best practices.
• Strong analytical and collaboration skills.
• Public sector experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain .NET applications.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC from requirements to support.
• Build applications using C#, ASP.NET, and related Microsoft technologies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues to improve performance.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Learn and apply modern development practices and Microsoft technologies.
• Contribute to code reviews and technical documentation.
• Stay current with evolving .NET frameworks.
