Job summary

Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced .NET Developer / Programmer Analyst to support the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of mission-critical applications in a public-sector environment. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft .NET development with C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, SQL, and related technologies.

Candidates will work across the full SDLC, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and support both new development and legacy enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with significant hands-on Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Strong proficiency with C# and .NET Core.
• Strong experience with ASP.NET and MVC.
• Experience developing and maintaining ASP.NET WebForms applications.
• Experience with VB.NET.
• Strong SQL and relational database development experience, including stored procedures.
• Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP).
• Experience with software testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Understanding of SDLC methodologies and development best practices.
• Familiarity with design patterns and scalable architecture.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, modify, test, debug, deploy, and maintain software applications.
• Build and enhance applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, and WebForms.
• Develop clean, reusable, scalable code using C#, JavaScript, VB.NET, Bootstrap, SQL, and ASP.NET.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Project Managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Perform code reviews, unit testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and database functionality.
• Design and support database-driven applications and integrations.
• Integrate applications with third-party systems, APIs, and external services.
• Troubleshoot application and production issues and implement effective technical solutions.
• Provide ongoing production support, application maintenance, and end-user support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, specifications, and support docs.
• Monitor applications and systems, communicate findings and resolutions.
