Job summary

Oneida Professional Services is seeking a Junior Applications Developer to support the Defense Information School (DINFOS) at Fort Meade, MD. You will design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom and COTS applications that meet academic, administrative, and operational needs.

The role requires strong .NET skills, experience with SQL Server, and ability to work through all SDLC phases while following security standards and accessibility requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience developing enterprise software in a professional setting.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies and app development frameworks.
• Experience with relational database design, development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of SDLC best practices and secure coding.
• Ability translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience building web-based applications and user interfaces.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards including Section 508.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom and COTS software applications.
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC from requirements analysis to sustainment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements.
• Develop prototypes, UIs, workflows, reports, and screens for apps.
• Create and optimize relational databases for performance and reliability.
• Support deployment activities and manage dev/test/prod environments.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
• Document designs, testing, and user support materials.
• Ensure compliance with security and accessibility requirements.
