Job summary

Oneida ESC Group's Oneida Professional Services division seeks a Junior Applications Developer to support the DINFOS Technology & Logistics program at Fort Meade, Maryland. You will design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom and COTS applications to support academic, administrative, and operational needs.

You will participate in the SDLC, gather requirements, build interfaces and reports, ensure security and 508 accessibility, and contribute to documentation and deployment under the

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise software applications.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies and application development frameworks.
• Experience with relational database design, development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience developing web-based applications and user interfaces.
• Understanding of application security principles, secure coding practices, and web application security requirements.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and requirements.
• Experience creating technical documentation and supporting application deployments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications (custom and COTS).
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC (requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, sustainment).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and validate requirements.
• Develop prototypes, UIs, workflows, reports, and screen layouts for apps.
• Create and optimize relational databases for performance and reliability.
• Support deployment activities and environment preparation.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance and enhancements.
• Produce technical documentation and design/testing materials.
• Ensure security and accessibility compliance (Section 508) and coding standards.
• Support content management and web app security initiatives.
