Job summary

Oneida ESC Group seeks a Junior Applications Developer to design, develop, test, implement, and maintain custom and COTS applications supporting DINFOS at Fort Meade, Maryland. The role covers SDLC activities, stakeholder collaboration, UI and database development, and ensuring security and Section 508 compliance.

The position requires strong .NET and web development skills, plus experience in requirements gathering and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and supporting enterprise software applications in a professional environment.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft .NET technologies and application development frameworks.
• Experience with relational database design, development, optimization, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and SDLC best practices.
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Experience developing web-based applications and user interfaces.
• Understanding of application security principles, secure coding practices, and web application security requirements.
• Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards and requirements.
• Experience creating technical documentation and supporting application deployments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain apps (COTS and custom).
• Participate in all phases of the SDLC from requirements to sustainment.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Develop prototypes, interfaces, workflows, reports, and screens.
• Create and optimize relational databases for performance.
• Support deployment activities and environments.
• Troubleshoot issues and provide ongoing maintenance.
• Develop technical documentation and design/testing specs.
• Ensure security, coding standards, and accessibility compliance.
• Support web content management and security initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
