You will perform mine design tasks, develop client solutions using design software, and collaborate with a global team to deliver safe, sustainable mining projects. This entry-level role emphasizes mentorship, hands-on training and in-person collaboration at the Salt Lake City location.

Qualifications

• Recent or soon-to-be graduates with relevant skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, mining, or a related field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Carry out calculations, simulations and verifications related to mine design.
• Develop mine design for Clients using design software to suit Client needs.
• Review Contractor drawings, reports, and documents.
• Guide the Contractor in detailed engineering and purchasing activities in mining.
• Participate in equipment sizing and vendor communications to meet requirements.
• Work with a project team on layouts and equipment selection and operating philosophies.
• Execute technical bid evaluations for equipment and purchase recommendations.
• Interact with other mining engineers to share technology.
• Generate operating manuals, plant startups, and commissioning as needed.

Education

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, mining, or a relevant field

GPA 3.0/4.0 minimum
