Job summary

MillEx is seeking a detail-oriented estimator assistant with at least 1 year of experience in woodwork, cabinetry or construction. You will support Senior Estimators, review plans, solicit quotes, and help prepare bids while growing professionally through mentorship and training.

You will coordinate with customers and vendors, take accurate takeoffs for millwork and stone countertops, and use Excel, PlanSwift and Google Suites to organize data and presentations.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of related experience or training in woodwork, cabinetry or construction.
• Basic construction knowledge and proficient mathematical skills.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in using MS Office and PlanSwift takeoff software.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Estimators in winning bids.
• Review architectural plans, specifications, and quotes.
• Define scope of work to bid from project documents.
• Solicit quotes from vendors and subcontractors.
• Inform manager of any inaccuracies in quoted items or data.
• Work with estimating team to submit final bids.
• Prepare documents for presentation and handoff after award; organize files per company structure and update Salesforce.
