Four Daughters Millwork is looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to join our growing team. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional who is eager to develop a career in construction estimating and custom architectural millwork. Working alongside experienced estimators, project managers, engineers, and production professionals, you’ll receive hands‑on training while contributing to exciting commercial millwork projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Perform quantity takeoffs and assist with project cost estimates.
  • Prepare material and labor pricing under the guidance of senior estimators.
  • Solicit and compare pricing from vendors and subcontractors.
  • Maintain organized bid files and estimating documentation.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management, and Production throughout the estimating process.
  • Assist with value engineering and cost‑saving opportunities.
  • Support multiple bid opportunities while meeting project deadlines.
  • Continue developing technical estimating skills through mentoring and on‑the‑job training.
Qualifications
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering Technology, Architecture, Architectural Engineering Technology, Engineering, Building Construction, or a closely related field required.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, PlanSwift, or other estimating software is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings or a willingness to develop this skill.
  • Self‑motivated with a strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
