Job summary

PDI is seeking a Microbiologist I to conduct routine microbiological testing of water, bulk pharmaceutical chemicals, and drug products. You will collect samples, prepare media, and document results in a GMP-regulated environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Biology, knowledge of microbiological techniques, and familiarity with cGMP/GLP/FDA guidelines. Experience with LIMS and Office software is beneficial, with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of microbiological principles, aseptic techniques, and common laboratory practices.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (cGMP, GLP, FDA) and quality systems in pharma/manufacturing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Collect purified water samples and perform microbiological testing on products and materials.
• Prepare media and controls for testing and document results with data integrity.
• Perform growth promotion testing and basic identification of microorganisms (Gram stain).
• Maintain laboratory organization and assist in outside contract lab shipments as needed.
• Support performance measurements and quality control activities.
