Job summary

ENERCON is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our team, focusing on evaluating and designing power systems for power-generating facilities. The role targets early-career engineers (1–3 years) ready to grow and take ownership with minimal oversight.

You'll collaborate across disciplines, manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality, and produce compliant engineering documents meeting codes and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in mechanical design for power systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Willingness to travel and work onsite at client sites.
• Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
• Must be able to climb stairs and ladders and navigate client sites.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel for projects.
• Some roles may involve federal contracts requiring U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design power systems for power-generating facilities.
• Collaborate across disciplines to integrate mechanical with electrical and civil work.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, and quality with minimal oversight.
• Produce high-quality engineering documents meeting industry codes and client expectations.
• Stay current with industry standards and safety practices, including nuclear sector.
• Build client relationships through clear communication and collaboration.
• Site visits to walk down plant systems and interfaces with client personnel.
