Job summary

Solvere Technical Group seeks a Junior Mechanical Engineer in Washington, DC. You will participate in planning, designing, and improving mechanical systems and tools while supporting ship-related projects.

Responsibilities include analyzing drawings, coordinating with teams, and performing weight and safety studies to ensure compliance with specifications. A US citizen with CAC access and security clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with ACAT I acquisition processes is highly desirable.
• Trained in AutoCAD engineering drawing development is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must meet DOT drug screening requirements.
• Familiar with drawings, design analysis and technical reports for ship repair or related projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering duties in planning and designing tools, engines, and other mechanical equipment.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of central systems.
• Review HM&E and C4ISR deliverables and provide input and recommendations.
• Coordinate technical and engineering efforts for daily program activity.
• Maintain logs of design modifications and related contacts and timelines.
• Conduct weight, arrangement, electrical load, and safety studies to define performance scope.
• Review technical and logistics deliverables including drawings and reports.
• Participate in meetings to discuss technical challenges and offer feedback.
• Analyze third-party reports for thoroughness and compliance with requirements.
• Assist in reviewing technical data to ensure conformity with specs.
