Job summary

CACI is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support NSWC Crane, providing engineering services from spec writing to outfitting design, ship checks, and cost estimates. You will generate mechanical drawings, create CAD models, and apply drafting standards for ship systems and installations.

The role requires a BS in engineering, ability to write reports, and strong communication. Travel up to 10% and US citizenship for Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required.
• Ability to write clear reports and specifications.
• Ability to interface with team members, leads and PMs.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and US citizenship for security clearance.
• Experience with Navy or commercial ship design standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services including spec writing, design and calculations.
• Generate mechanical drawings and drafts for installations and systems.
• Create CAD models and machinery arrangements in AutoCAD.
• Learn and apply drafting standards.
