Job summary

Solvere Technical in Washington, DC seeks a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. You will plan and design tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical equipment, supporting ship repair and related projects.

Responsibilities include overseeing installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of centralized heat, gas, water, and steam systems, reviewing HM&E and C4ISR deliverables, and performing analyses to inform design choices.

Qualifications

• BS in Marine Engineering or Mechanical Engineering required.
• ACAT I acquisition experience highly desirable.
• AutoCAD drawing development experience highly desirable.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Must meet DOT drug screening requirements.
• Experience with ship repair or related projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical equipment.
• Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of centralized systems.
• Review HM&E and C4ISR deliverables to provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with program teams for technical and engineering efforts.
• Conduct weight, arrangement, and electrical load analyses.
• Review drawings, technical reports, and vendor publications.
• Participate in meetings addressing design challenges with feedback.
• Analyze third-party design validation reports for thoroughness.
• Assist in reviewing technical data to meet specs.
