Job summary

Dewberry is seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer for our Jackson, MS office to support design and analysis of facilities. You will work with a team on projects from concept through documentation, gaining exposure to CAD workflows and construction drawings.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 0–2 years of experience, a drive to learn, and strong communication skills to collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced environment. Driving is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 0-2 years of experience.
• Previous internship experience preferred.
• Communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to coordinate the work of multiple disciplines.
• Ability to prepare mechanical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications, project schedules and cost estimates to meet project requirements.
• Proficiency in CAD, Revit preferred and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Projects may include new multi-building facilities, retrofit projects, laboratory, mission critical facilities, as well as energy conservation studies, facility condition assessments, and due diligence reports addressing operating conditions and construction costs.
