Job summary

Venom Fabrication LLC is seeking a drafting/design engineer to create 3D models and 2D prints for manufactured parts. You will interpret specifications, apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances, and work with engineers to develop tooling and fixtures.

The role requires SolidWorks proficiency, CAD experience, and a background in mechanical/industrial fields. Strong collaboration and attention to detail are essential for success in this fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary drafting design education or equivalent with CAD experience.
• SolidWorks proficiency and experience with metal parts or castings is a plus.
• Experience in industrial/mechanical fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and 2D prints for manufactured components.
• Interpret specifications and ensure GD&T tolerance application.
• Collaborate with engineers to develop tooling, fixtures, and processes.
• Assist with data analysis and documentation for manufacturing.
• Provide technical support to customers and suppliers as needed.
• Support quality and manufacturing departments in drawing interpretation.
