Job summary

Wasco-Switches- is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of mechanical and electromechanical products. You will help refine specifications, participate in testing, and contribute to product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and regulatory compliance.

Under guidance from senior engineers, you will perform analyses, document designs, collaborate with manufacturing and quality teams, and contribute to continuous improvement and engineering excellence.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates foundational knowledge of mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, and control systems.
• Applies established engineering principles, analytical reasoning, and developing conceptual-thinking skills to evaluate requirements and support practical engineering solutions.
• Works with operations, manufacturing, and maintenance personnel to support production activities and investigate equipment or process issues.
• Communicates technical information clearly through drawings, reports, presentations, and discussions.
• Maintains a strong focus on accuracy and quality while developing job knowledge through training, practical experience, and collaboration with experienced team members.

Responsibilities

• Engineering Design & Development: Performs system evaluations, mechanical design, equipment modifications, and process-development activities under guidance.
• Research & Technical Analysis: Reviews requirements, researches materials/manufacturing methods, performs calculations, analyzes data.
• Collaboration & Values Alignment: Participates in cross-functional teams with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and quality.
• Documentation & Compliance: Prepares and maintains engineering documentation, follows regulatory and quality procedures.
• Testing & Validation: Executes feasibility and quality-assurance testing using established plans and records results.
• Technical Support & Training: Provides hands-on technical support and may develop basic tools or automated solutions.
