Job summary

Quaise Energy, Inc. is seeking a Jr. Mechanical CAD Designer to support millimeter wave drilling technology development. You will create detailed CAD models, drawings, and assemblies for lab and field applications, collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and RF engineers.

This early-career role focuses on hands-on design, prototype builds, and improving manufacturability while growing technical capabilities within a fast-paced R&D team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in drafting or mechanical design.
• 1–3 years CAD design experience in a mechanical environment.
• Experience with prototype development, manufacturing, or industrial mechanical systems preferred.
• Exposure to machining, fabrication, or assembly processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and detailed mechanical drawings.
• Support prototype mechanical systems development for lab and field applications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to meet functional and manufacturing requirements.
• Assist with prototype assembly, fit-up verification, and mechanical troubleshooting in labs.
• Maintain organized CAD files, drawings, and BOMs; participate in field installations as needed.
