Kaeser Compressors, Inc. in Fredericksburg, VA, is seeking an Entry-to-Mid Level Mechanic (Junior - Mechanic I). The role offers a clean, climate-controlled shop, comprehensive training, and opportunities to advance to Mechanic I after the first year.

You will assemble custom systems, operate shop equipment, and participate in a development-focused culture while working 7:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday. Compensation ranges from $20–$30 per hour with excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma
• Basic mechanical skills, mechanical aptitude
• Reading and understanding of blueprints, preferred, but not required
• Basic understanding of electrical wiring, preferred, but not required
• Forklift experience preferred, but not required
• Familiarity with rigging and the operation of overhead cranes preferred, but not required
• Basic computer skills
• Regular physical attendance at the worksite.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom compressed air enclosures with experienced mechanics.
• Operate pipe threading machines, electric conduit benders, overhead cranes and other shop equipment.
• Handle electrical setup: conduit, switches, lights, disconnects, control panels.
• Perform mechanical assembly: cut, fit, and install piping, steel plate, unistrut, and ductwork.
