Job summary

Our client in the automotive and embedded systems industry seeks a Junior MBD Engineer to join the team in Waller, Texas. You will develop, verify, and validate model-based control algorithms for embedded systems using MATLAB/Simulink, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, knowledge of control theory, and hands-on experience with Embedded C and code-generation tools.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with MATLAB, Simulink, and Stateflow.
• Good understanding of Control Theory and closed-loop design.
• Experience in Auto Code Generation using Embedded Coder and MATLAB Coder.
• Hands‑on experience in Model Verification & Validation (MIL/SIL).
• Knowledge of Embedded C and software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and validate model-based control algorithms for embedded systems using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Design control systems, develop models, and support auto-code generation processes.
• Perform verification and validation activities including MIL and SIL testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for system integration and validation.
• Create technical documentation, test reports, and traceability artifacts.
