Job summary

ManpowerGroup Global, Inc. is seeking a Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer to design, develop and maintain embedded software for HVAC and smart control systems onsite in Waller, Texas.

You will work in a collaborative engineering team, implement robust firmware in Embedded C/C++, leverage Zephyr RTOS, and optimize Modbus RTU/TCP interfaces for reliable device communication. This is a 3-month contract-to-hire opportunity with onsite work; locals preferred, visas welcome for hands-on candidates.

Qualifications

• Proven Embedded C/C++ programming and firmware development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Zephyr RTOS and debugging tools.
• Expertise in Modbus RTU/TCP communication protocols and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of hardware/software integration including microcontroller peripherals and board bring-up.
• Familiarity with Git and CI/CD pipelines for embedded projects.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Embedded Firmware Engineer

Location: Waller, Texas (Onsite)

Note: Locals who can work on W2 are highly Preferrable. Any Visa is fine as long as consultant have the Hands on Experience.

What's the Job?

• Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for HVAC and smart control systems using Embedded C/C++.
• Implement and optimize embedded applications utilizing Zephyr RTOS, ensuring high reliability and performance.
• Develop and troubleshoot Modbus RTU/TCP communication interfaces for seamless device interoperability.
• Perform embedded system testing, debugging, and automation to ensure product quality and compliance with industry standards.
• Integrate hardware and software components, including microcontroller architecture, peripherals, and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and Ethernet.
