Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Materials Science & Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace or related discipline.
• 0–3 years engineering experience (internships or undergraduate research considered).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work in lab and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and test adhesive bond specimens per internal procedures and ASTM standards.
• Perform materials characterization and mechanical testing for flight hardware and TPS development.
• Analyze data and prepare technical reports with results and recommendations.
• Generate and maintain material specifications, process specs, test plans, qualification reports, and procedures.
• Support material failure investigations and root-cause analyses.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to support material selection, qualification, and production.
